Five lines worth checking on your CCC report.
You can check all of these yourself with the report, your window sticker and a free afternoon. Or send it to us and we will check them for you.
Comparable vehicles
The report prices your car from a handful of similar cars for sale or recently sold. If the comparables are wrong, everything after them is wrong.
- Distance: comparables pulled from a cheaper market far from where you live
- Trim: a base model standing in for your higher trim
- Mileage: comparables with far more miles, or a mileage adjustment going the wrong way
- Dates and titles: stale listings, or a rebuilt or salvage title in the mix
Condition adjustments
Many reports rate parts of your car against a “typical” one and take money off for anything rated below it.
- Who rated it, and whether it was judged from photos taken after the crash
- Deductions for wear you can disprove with photos or service records
- New tires, brakes or recent work that should count for you, not against you
The projected sold adjustment
Dealer asking prices are often cut by a “projected sold” adjustment, on the theory that cars sell for less than their sticker.
- How much it takes off each comparable, in dollars
- Whether the report explains the data behind it for your car and market
- Whether cars like yours are actually selling near their asking price right now
Options left out
The report values the car it thinks you had. A missing package or option means every comparable is priced as a lesser car.
- Compare the equipment list line by line with your window sticker or VIN build sheet
- Factory packages, upgraded trims, driver-assist or tech packages
- Covered aftermarket equipment your policy includes
Tax and fees owed
The last page adds tax and fees and subtracts your deductible. In many states some or all of the replacement tax and fees are owed to you.
- Sales tax on the full settlement value at your local rate
- Title and registration fees, where your state expects them to be included
- The deductible and any prior payments, applied once and correctly

You get a straight answer
If the number holds up, we say so. If it does not, we show you which lines look off and what would document them. What you do next is your call.
Why we built this: our own CCC report.
When our Tesla Model 3 was totaled, the insurer’s first offer was $17,262. Reading the valuation line by line, we found an $8,000 factory option missing from the vehicle record. We sent the documentation and our own comparables, and the claim settled at an agreed value of $29,155.
That is our case, one claim. Many reviews end with a smaller change or none at all. Read the full story.
If you want help with the response.
One flat price per claim. A flat fee, never a cut of what you recover.

Common questions
- Is the check really free?
- Yes. Send the report, we read it and tell you what we see. There is no account to create and no card to enter. If you later want help building a documented response, the packages are a flat fee per claim, and you decide that after the check, not before.
- What if the number holds up?
- Then we tell you that. Some CCC reports are fair, and paying anyone to dispute a fair number wastes your money and your time. A straight answer either way is the point of the check.
- Do you talk to my insurer for me?
- No. We are not a law firm or a public adjuster, and we do not contact your insurer. We help you understand the report and put together the documentation and letters that you send yourself.
- I only have the offer letter, not the full report. Can you still help?
- Send what you have. The offer letter alone rarely shows the comparables or adjustments, so ask the adjuster in writing for the complete valuation report. We can tell you what to ask for.
- Should I sign the settlement or release before you look?
- Read anything you are asked to sign carefully first. Some forms settle the claim in full once signed. If you are unsure what a form means, ask the adjuster in writing or get legal advice before signing.
- Are you affiliated with CCC?
